NEWTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — There’s been multiple sightings of a bear in the Newton Highlands area.
Newton Police posted a video of the bear on its Facebook website sprinting across somebody’s front lawn.
Police say the bear was spotted near Cold Springs Park, and along with Environmental Police, they are trying to follow the bear’s whereabouts.
Wildlife experts say during the spring, summer, and fall months, bears may be active during the day, most likely at dawn and dusk.
In areas with more human interactions, bears tend to be more active at night.
