Body Pulled From Connecticut River Identified As Missing Chicopee Boy

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) —The Hampden County District Attorney’s Office confirmed Friday that a body pulled from the Connecticut River earlier this week was a missing boy from Chicopee.

Aiden Blanchard, 12, was last seen at the beginning of February walking toward the Medina Street boat launch.

Authorities recovered the body Wednesday morning in the water between the North End Bridge and Memorial Bridge.

District Attorney Anthony Gulluni said he “offers his sympathies to Aiden’s family during this difficult time.”

The investigation is still ongoing.
