BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — It was "do or die" for the Boston Bruins to stay in their playoff series against the Carolina Hurricanes Thursday night, but with TD Garden crackling with energy and several goals later, the dream stays alive and game seven gets penned in for Saturday night. Now, the Boston Celtics look to do the same, fending off the Milwaukee Bucks and elimination from the NBA playoffs.
WBZ's Jim MacKay spoke to some Boston residents across the Garden about their celebrations for the Bruins and anticipations for the Celtics' game Friday night.
"Listen man, you know the Celtics are going to go seven games," said Mike from Roxbury, "it's the weekend, so why wouldn't we watch it?"

Andrew lives in the West End, hails from Houston, Texas, and says that the Boston sports scene is a big change for him.
"The hockey fandom and the basketball fandom, coming from a place that doesn't have as big of fandoms for either is pretty incredible," Andrew said.
On the Bruins, Mike says the series could have gone better, but that he's optimistic for the away game in Raleigh.
"I'm not going to say I'm disappointed, because at least we're in the dance now," Mike said.
