BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Boston Bruins unveiled three new Centennial Jerseys Saturday night to be worn during the 2023-24 season.
Working together with Adidas and the National Hockey League, the Bruins wanted to pay homage to the team’s 100-year history.
The new jerseys incorporated both vintage and unique highlights. A commemorative Centennial patch rests on the right shoulder of all the jerseys and sparkling “Centennial gold” replaced the traditional Bruins gold.
Bruins President Cam Neely showcased the new jerseys during the Centennial Takeoff fashion show event at Logan Airport’s JetBlue hangar. Brad Marchand and Milan Lucic were among the players who walked the runway wearing the new sweaters.
“For reaching such a monumental milestone – our 100th year – we really wanted to do something special with the sweater,” said Neely. “We’re excited to introduce three bespoke jerseys, each featuring an original crest design as well as unique elements meant to honor a century of Bruins hockey.”
The new jerseys are available online and in-store at the TD Garden ProShop starting Sept. 17.
