Boston Bruins Sign David Pastrnak To 8-Year Contract Extension

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — On Thursday, the Boston Bruins announced that forward David Pastrnak has been signed for an eight-year contract extension with an annual National Hockey League cap at $11.25 million.

In the announcement from Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney, it was confirmed that Pastrnak will continue to be a Bruin through at least the 2030-31 season. He's the top scorer on the team, second in the NHL— and so far this season he's had 42 goals, 38 assists, and 80 points per game. In this latest season, Pastrnak averages over 19 clock minutes on ice per game.

In the 2019-20 season. Pasternak earned the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy, which is awarded annually to the leading goal scorer in the NHL.

Pastrnak of Havirov, Czech Republic stands at 6 foot 1 inch, weighs 195 pounds, and ranked in the top 20 in goals, hat tricks, assists, and points for any player signed with the Bruins in franchise history.
