BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A business in Boston provides students who are living away from home, many for the first time, services that help them adjust to and navigate around their new surroundings.
'Concierge Services for Students' is essentially a second mom.
It helps students set up and arrange their dorm room, establishes a contact that students can stay in touch with throughout the school year, and generally gives students a 'second mom.'
Tammy Kumin co-founded the business thirty years ago. "We call just to make sure they're ok," she said. "We try to do something collectively with all of the students together which helps them feel like more of a family."
