BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Boston Calling has announced its lineup for the 2023 festival.
The Foo Fighters, The Lumineers, and Paramore will headline the Memorial Day weekend festival. The Foo Fighters were originally supposed to headline the 2020 festival, which was canceled because of COVID, and in 2022, but the band canceled that year because of the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins.
Paramore is returning for the first time since 2018. The Lumineers are playing the festival for the first time. Alanis Morissette will also play Boston Calling, marking her first show in Boston since 2012. Queens of the Stone Age will play their second-ever Boston Calling show, while The National will be playing their fourth set at the festival this year.
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard is also returning to the lineup after canceling their 2022 set because of COVID. The lineup also features 20 bands with local ties, including the Q-Tip Bandits, Mint Green, Neemz, Coral Moons, and Ali McGuirk.
