BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Boston Calling Music Festival will be making an announcement this upcoming Wednesday.
The festival released a cryptic teaser on social media Monday morning, with only the words "Please stand by." After the teaser, Wednesday's date (05/26/21) flashes for a brief moment, before going black.
Boston Calling has been canceled for two years in a row during the pandemic.
The festival announced that it would be canceling this year's event back in February after "exploring all possible options" for how to host the event in 2021.
The new teaser has fueled some social media speculation that Boston Calling could be back in some form this year. The teaser could also be announcing the festival's 2022 artist lineup.
