BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Producers on a new A24 movie filming in Boston are searching for extras to appear on screen.
Casting director Kate Antognini said in an open casting call posted online the crew is seeking "Boston locals with distinctive faces to play background characters in an untitled A24 feature film."
Applicants do not need to have any prior acting experience, but they must live in the Boston area, according to the post.
"It brings authenticity to it too because it's just regular people who would be in the city either way," one local said.
Antognini did not name the film in the casting call, but she identified Kristoffer Borgli ("Dream Scenario") as the director. Borgli is currently directing a new movie called "The Drama" which has been filming in Boston since late October. Fans spotted Zendaya and Robert Pattinson filming a scene on the Boston Common last week.
Another local, Anthony Barrasso, said it would be "a pleasure" to help with the project in any capacity.
Extras must be available to work one to six days between now and the end of November. They will be paid $216 per eight-hour work day.
