Boston Firefighter Charged In Indecent Assault On Teenager

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Boston firefighter has been arrested on charges he indecently assaulted a teenager.

Kevin Harrison was arrested by Randolph Police and charged with two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child over the age of 14, as well as open and gross lewdness.

Harrison was ordered to stay away from the alleged victim, as well as anyone under the age of 18.

The Commonwealth had asked for $5,000 bail, but Harrison was allowed to walk out of court on his own recognizance.

In a statement, Boston Fire Commissioner Joe Finn said Harrison is on administrative leave pending his ongoing court case.

"Due to the seriousness of the allegations, and the sensitivity of the investigation, the Boston Fire Department is unable to provide any further comment on this matter," the statement read.

Further information about the alleged assault wasn't yet available; the state asked for the paperwork in this Norfolk County case to be impounded until Harrison's October 21 court date.
