BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A fire in Jamaica Plain on Christmas Day put a firefighter in the hospital. Boston Fire got the call for the blaze on Saturday evening at a new, four story apartment complex on Washington Street in Jamaica Plain. As no one currently lives in the building, no residents were displaced.
One firefighter was injured after a fall, and was taken to the hospital by Boston EMS. There was no word on his condition as of Sunday morning.
The 2-alarm fire caused about $200,000 in damage.
