BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Boston man has been sentenced for robbing a TD Bank branch in Cambridge last year, law enforcement officials announced Friday.

On April 27, 2022, Jamall Copeland, 49, entered the TD Bank at 1270 Massachusetts Ave. in Cambridge and handed the teller a demand note that read, "Give up all Hundreds! AN 50's Robbery!" Copeland fled the scene with $1,455 in cash.

Following the robbery, law enforcement recovered a fingerprint from the demand note that matched the known fingerprint of Copeland, who was released from state prison in 2021 and has a criminal history including charges related to murder, kidnapping, drug and firearms offenses, armed robbery, and assault with intent to murder.

He was indicted on one count of bank robbery in June and pled guilty in December.

On Wednesday, a U.S. District Court judge sentenced Copeland to 28 months in prison and three years of supervised release.
