Boston Officer Injured After Getting Dragged By Car In Allston

ALLSTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Boston police officer was injured and taken to the hospital today after getting dragged by a car.

It happened in Allston at the intersection of Cambridge and North Harvard streets just after 3:30 p.m.

WBZ TV reports the officer was investigating a crash and was trying to move the car out of traffic when it started to roll.

The officer got in front of the car trying to stop it and wound up getting dragged into the parking lot of a Shell gas station.

The officer was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators say they don't believe anyone is facing charges in the incident.
