MATTAPAN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Boston Mayor Michelle Wu was at an event showcasing a new childcare facility in Boston.
Parents are celebrating the September opening of 'Brown Bear Excel Early Learning Center' on River Street in Mattapan.
Construction at the building is almost finished and the mayor said she can't wait to see children at the center when the new school year begins.
The mayor also announced additional resources for city parents in need of childcare. "We now have more than 800 childcare providers across Boston that families can access through a new program that the city has developed," she said of the on-line resource.
