BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Boston Police are investigating a string of cash register robberies targeting commercial stores around the area.
According to BPD, there have been four robberies this past week at four different stores in Boston— two in Hyde Park, one in Roxbury and one in Jamaica Plain.
In each incident, the suspect or suspects faked purchasing merchandise before seizing the cash register when the clerk opened it.
Police said one suspect was seen wearing a black puffy jacket, black pants, and a black mask in all four cases. No weapons were displayed during the robberies.
This comes after a group of people stole nearly $6,140 in merchandise from the Lululemon store on Newbury Street on Oct. 13. No arrests have been made for this crime.
