BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Boston Police say they arrested a man outside T.D. Garden before Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night for selling fake tickets.

Police say they arrested Jeffrey Hall of Naugatuck, Connecticut about half an hour before tip-off at 8:30 PM, when they learned that Hall was wanted on a warrant out of Wrentham in 2017 for allegedly selling fake tickets.

The man also allegedly had counterfeit tickets to Game 3 on him — though police said they were still investigating if he was trying to hawk them or not. He'll be summonsed to court in connection to the fake tickets police found on him on Wednesday.

Police have been warning fans to be on the lookout for counterfeit ticket scams bought through the secondary market for the NBA Finals, encouraging people to only buy tickets through authorized sellers.
