Boston Police Arrest Suspect In Seaport Stabbing

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — On Friday night, the Boston Police Department officers assigned to the South Boston area responded to a radio call for an Assault & Battery in progress at 60 Seaport Boulevard.

Arriving officers found that a man on scene had suffered a small laceration on his neck, something he told police he sustained after a person known to him attacked him from behind, slicing his neck. According to police, the victim said the incident was "completely unprovoked."

With the help of bystanders, the victim freed himself and disarm his attacker, after which the suspect fled the scene on foot. While the victim was taken to a nearby hospital, police said they began searching for the suspect, locating him next to a parking structure.

Police arrested 20-year-old Dorian Jenkins, charging him with Assault & Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon. Officials say Jenkins is set to be arraigned in South Boston District Court.
