Boston Police Ask For Public's Help Identifying Suspect In Attack

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Boston Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying a suspect in an alleged attack outside Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

BPD said the incident happened Monday October 5th at around 10 a.m. in the area of 450 Brookline Avenue in Boston. Responding officers were made aware that a female victim was physically assaulted while she was standing in front of 1 Jimmy Fund Way.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing an all-black jumpsuit. BPD said he "ran up to the victim and struck her with a closed fist on the right side of her head. This was an unprovoked attack."

Officers said the suspect then fled on foot down Jimmy Fund way and took a right on Brookline Avenue. The victim was treated for minor injuries at a local area hospital.
