Boston Police Asks For Public's Help In Decades-Old Cold Case

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Boston Police Department is asking the public for help in solving a cold-case murder from the 1980's.

48-year-old Barbara Ann Williams was shot in her first-floor Stanwood Street apartment in Roxbury on December 2, 1989. Williams was taken to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

The police found evidence of gunfire outside of the apartment and in a second floor apartment. Williams was the only person hurt in the shooting.

BPD's Unsolved Homicide Unit is investigating, and they're urging anyone with information to come forward with any information on the shooting, by calling (617) 343-4470.
