Boston Police Identify 2 Shooting Victims Killed July 5

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police have identified two shooting victims killed in separate incidents last week the day after the 4th of July.

Last Friday, Boston Police responded to Shawmut Ave. near Ramsay Park around 1:30 a.m. after getting a report of a shooting.

They found a man suffering from gunshot wounds, and he was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police have since identified the victim as Warren Julien, 40, of Jamaica Plain.

Later on Friday, there was another fatal shooting in Mattapan.

Officers responded to the area around Gladeside Ave. and Donwood Ter. after receiving a report of a shooting around 12:30 p.m.

Police discovered two victims in a car suffering from gunshot wounds. They were both taken to the hospital, one with non-life-threatening injuries and another with life-threatening wounds.

The second victim was later pronounced dead. He has since been identified as 17-year-old Christian Cousins of Stoughton.

Stoughton Public Schools released a statement on Saturday saying that Cousins was a student at Stoughton High School as was the other victim suffering non-life-threatening injuries.

The Boston Police Homicide Unit is investigating both shootings, and they ask anyone with information to contact them at 617-343-4470.
