BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Boston police officer and their three children and spouse were hit by a pickup truck in West Roxbury Friday morning on Hastings and Centre streets.
The Boston Police Superior Officers Federation put out a statement that said the officer was one of their own.
"The incident resulted in injuries to both our member and their family members. We would like to extend our gratitude to the members of Boston Fire, Boston EMS, and our brothers and sisters in blue who came to the aid of one of our own in their time of need."
According to WBZ-TV, the pickup truck went over a stone barrier and onto a brick sidewalk. A child stroller was found next to the truck. Police said that the truck driver had stayed on the scene and was cooperating with the investigation.
The cause of the crash is still unclear.
