Boston Police Searching For Alleged Hatchet-Wielding Road Rage Suspect

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Boston Police are looking to identify a suspect accused of aggravated assault during a road rage incident Friday night near 1032 Commonwealth Avenue in Brighton.

Authorities said the suspect chased the victim with his car at a high speed causing the victim to crash. The suspect then allegedly assaulted the victim before vandalizing their car with a hatchet, breaking the windshield and windows. The suspect then fled the scene on Babcock Street toward Brookline in a gray pickup truck.

The unknown man is described as a white male, approximately 25 years old, slight build, brown medium-length hair, and a short beard. The suspect was wearing a plain white t-shirt with lettering on the back, blue jeans, and brown sneakers.

The incident took place at approximately 11:42 p.m. Detectives are actively investigating the crime.
