BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Boston Pops Orchestra will hold a virtual concert on Friday, Feb. 12, ahead of Valentine's Day.
"It's the first time we've ever done a livestream performance, and first time we've done a Valentine's Day special too," conductor Keith Lockhart said.
Lockhart said the orchestra is celebrating the theme of love with a variety of musical genres.
"We're suggesting you get takeout from a fabulous restaurant, use the good silver and the wineglasses and set yourself up a beautiful meal in front of the Boston Pops," Lockhart said.
The program will include Tchaikovsky's "Romeo and Juliet" Overture-Fantasy along with "selections from Broadway and John William's film music," according to the Boston Pops website.
The live performance begins at 8 p.m. on Friday. Click here to purchase tickets.
