Boston Reacts To 'Super Bowl Flu' Affecting Millions Of Americans

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A new survey shows an estimated 16 million Americans were expected to be calling out sick from work today, with an additional six-plus million running late, all with a case of the 'Super Bowl Flu.'

The Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime last night to win back-to-back Super Bowls and their third championship in five years.

And yes, Chiefs player Travis Kelcey's girlfriend Taylor Swift made it to the game in plenty of time following her jet-lagged trip halfway across the globe after her concert in Japan.

This worker did manage to watch the game and make it to work on time but said he wasn't feeling the greatest and thought maybe some shenanigans were going on with the game. "Honestly, I think the game was fixed with the whole Taylor Swift thing," he said.

WBZ's Chris Fama (@CFamaWBZ) reports.
