BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) – Two more players on the Red Sox have tested positive for Covid-19, causing a shakeup in the team’s roster.
Pitcher Martin Perez and closer Matt Barnes are the latest Sox players to test positive for the coronavirus. They now join Kikè Hernandez and Christian Arroyo on the Covid-19 injured list, along with two coaches.

Manager Alex Cora said he is tired of dealing with these outbreaks during the season.
“The season part, all that stuff, that’s the easy part for me,” he said. “But having to deal with everything that has to go, or that I have to do with this, it’s not easy.”
The Red Sox are one of seven teams in the MLB that has not reached an 85-percent vaccination threshold.
Meanwhile, the team has moved two players from the Worcester Red Sox onto their roster.
