Boston Removes "Ugly" Christmas Tree In Brighton After Numerous Complaints

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The City of Boston has removed a Christmas tree in Brighton Center after numerous complaints that it was ugly and disgraceful.

The not so festive tree was dubbed the "Charlie Brown tree" by residents and people on social media. The city took quick action after complaints flooded the internet.

The tree was recently placed by the city at Washington and Market Streets in Brighton. All that is left of the tree is the stump it was attached to.

WBZ NewsRadio reached out to the mayor's office and they said after the installation and giving it time to settle, it became apparent the tree in Brighton Center was not satisfactory and plans got underway to replace it.

The mayor's office did not say when the new tree will be put up.
