BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — After a weekend filled with food, family and football, Boston residents struggled to get out of bed on Monday morning.

It can be tough facing the reality of a full week when last week was abbreviated for most residents to get some much-needed rest and relaxation. Whether it is work, travel, or school, residents across the state are back to their usual routine.

WBZ NewsRadio’s Chris Fama spoke with some of the people with early alarms Monday morning.

“You cook once and then you have the leftovers the whole weekend. You just warmed it up and just sat down and watched football all weekend,” said one woman not happy to head back to work.

“I know it does come quick, but it is what it is. Just deal with it,” said one man not letting his alarm bother him.

“I have a twelve-hour drive in front of me,” said a college student headed back to North Carolina.

“I’m a school bus driver. I’m about to pick up kids, so I like being out on Monday,” said another man excited to get back to work.
