BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — After passing the final tests, donning the cap and gown, and getting your hands on that diploma, the big question on every graduate's mind is: Now what?

WBZ NewsRadio's Chris Fama hit the streets of Boston to ask residents for their advice to recent graduates heading out into the world after leaving, or perhaps surviving, high school.

Plan Ahead: "Work in the industry that you think that you want to do before you go to college," one woman said. "I have three degrees, I do not use my first one."

A Good Work-Life Balance: "Find time for yourself," another resident suggested. "To have more freedom, so you don’t feel trapped inside."

It Doesn't Come Cheap: "Get a great job, life is expensive," said another woman.

Captain Obvious: "Take advice," a resident offered.

Don't Be Afraid To Fail: "You got to fail first before you can succeed," another resident said. "You don’t have success without failure, so it’s worth just going for it. All in, just do it. Take the dive, go for it."
