BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — It’s a “B-Utiful” time of year for Boston University freshmen as they begin their college journey and move into their dorms for the first time.

The future graduating class of 2029 is settling in ahead of the start of classes on Tuesday, September 2nd.

Students littered Commonwealth Avenue over Labor Day weekend as they explored the campus and accepted free gifts from business vendors who handed out free t-shirts and other items.

When asked what they’re most excited for with this new school year, most were aligned on the same answers: starting classes, meeting new people and being in a new environment.

“Definitely classes. I’m really excited about all my classes,” one student said.

“Meeting new people. Joining new clubs,” another student said.

“I’m from Miami, so I’m definitely excited for a new environment,” an eager student said.

This makes sense when you consider that there are more than 150,000 college students enrolled at various universities across the city of Boston who all move into the city at the same time every year.
