BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — People are navigating the slick streets of Boston after the city received about an inch of snowfall overnight.
Dozens of schools in Central and Western Mass. delayed their start time by a couple of hours on Wednesday, after an overnight storm left a couple of inches of snow. According to the National Weather Service, there were four inches in Greenfield, Mass., as the storm was still working its way through.
In Boston, there was only about an inch of snow and crews were working throughout the early morning to clear the roads and sidewalks. WBZ’s James Rojas spoke with Bostonians as they brushed off their vehicles, most of whom were unphased by the snow.
“[It’s] no problem, there’s salt and everything. The North End is the best,” said one man.
“It’s not bad. It’s nice weather, not too snowy. Last weekend was pretty crazy,” said another man.
“The public workers are doing such a good job. [I] appreciate them,” said another Bostonian.
“Definitely have to just make sure you know where you’re walking. Stay careful and stay focused,” said one woman taking a more cautious approach.
