BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) —  Trinity Church is offering prayer services before, during and after Election Day 2024 to provide a space for people to come together in a time of incredible division in the country.

The services include readings from the Bible, and a litany for sound government, sometimes read in-between tears.

“How are we going to fill these 72 hours? All of us have had our strategies. Whether it’s listening to a certain podcast or dialing up a series of albums- we're hoping prayer can be a part of that rhythm and that time keeping. For me, that’s really been the benefit,” said Trinity Church Reverend Morgan Allen.

There’s a special “Collect for an Election” portion of the program, which asks God to guide the American people and its elected officials to keep the rights of all protected.

“Finally, no matter what happens, [the service is] to set our reassurance on the promise that we will be together, offering a Holy Eucharist for unity,” Reverend Allen added.

After the official program, Reverend Allen opens the service for anybody to express their worries and hopes for the future of the country.

“And endeavor the best of who we are as Bostonians, as citizens in the Commonwealth and in the country,” Allen added.

On Tuesday, there are prayer services this afternoon at 3:30 and 5:45 p.m.

There will also be a service on Wednesday morning at 9:45 a.m.
