BOURNE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — State Police are investigating after several large concrete blocks were found on train tracks near the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Bourne.
The blocks were found shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday on the tracks, which belong to the Massachusetts Coastal Railroad.
Troopers and railroad workers had removed the blocks, some of which weighed more than 200 pounds, by 9:15 a.m. State Police believe they were likely placed there overnight.
No trains struck the blocks. State Police are still investigating to find out who placed them there.
