In Stoneham, Dodgeball For A Good Cause

STONEHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — It was quite a battle at the Boys & Girls Club of Stoneham Thursday night, where teams faced off to raise thousands of dollars for the organization in a dodgeball tournament.

The BGCS's Dodging For Dollars event saw the Middlesex District Attorney's office and Middlesex Sheriff's office play against each other to raise big money.

"Both teams donated quite a bit," Anthony Guardia of the Boys & Girls Clubs told WBZ NewsRadio's Carl Stevens. "Both raised over $1,000 each!"

Guardia said the annual fundraiser, now in its fourth year, hopes to raise $50,000."

"This year, we have over 40 teams playing to raise money for our clubs," Guardia said. "All the money, 100 percent of every donation made, goes directly to our youth programming."
