BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — An arrest left three Boston Police officers injured at Boston City Hall and a fourth at a police station Friday, officials said.
Police said officers responded to city hall at around 9:43 a.m. for a report of a combative person. The suspect, 51-year-old Michael Williams, was accused of yelling racial slurs towards a group of people, according to police.

After several failed attempts to get Williams to leave the building peacefully, the officers began placing Williams under arrest, police said. During the arrest, Williams allegedly bit one of the officer's hands, causing severe damage and heavy bleeding, then punched two officers with a closed fist.
Police said Williams briefly fled before being subdued and taken into custody.
Later, Williams became combative as officers attempted to get him to step out of the patrol wagon and into the police station, said police. It was during this time that another officer injured his arm.
The four officers were taken to the hospital for their injuries, officials said.
Williams was arraigned in Boston Municipal Court Friday on charges of trespassing, assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, assault to maim, and disorderly conduct. He was ordered held on $25,000 bail and committed to a medical facility for 20 days, authorities said.
Williams is due back in court on April 24.
