BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Two people were killed in a crash involving a pickup truck and sedan near Braintree High School early Wednesday morning.
It happened around 4:05 a.m. on Granite Street, when the pickup truck, traveling south, collided with the sedan, which was travelling north.
Two men in the sedan were pronounced dead—one at the scene, and another at an area hospital a short time after. Neither of the victims have yet been identified.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
State and Braintree Police are still investigating the crash, which officials said happened in the pickup's travel lane.
The collision left Granite Street closed at Town Street, impacting morning arrivals at Braintree High School. Braintree Police said Granite Street was reopened shortly before 8 a.m.
