BROCKTON, Mass. (WBZ News Radio) – A regional Covid-19 booster clinic opened Tuesday at the Shaw’s center in Brockton.

The clinic can administer up to 450 shots a day but has the ability to give out 1,000 if needed.

Debbie is one of several Brewster ambulance employees running the clinic.

“I have actually felt honored to be able to give these people their shots and thankful that they’ve come in to get them."

Brockton mayor Robert Sullivan said the center is not just for Brockton residents and that it does more than just provide boosters.

“People will be able to come here five days a week to get booster shots,” he said. “If you haven’t gotten a shot, know that vaccines save lives so you can get your first and second.”

The clinic is open Tuesday and Wednesday from noon until 8:00 p.m., as well as on Thursday to Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Ana from Canton was one of the first people in line to get a booster.

“I want to be safe,” she said. “I believe in this injection.”
