BROCKTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Brockton High School student-athlete made history on the football field this weekend.

In a game against the Dartmouth Indians on Friday, senior and wide receiver McKenzie Quinn became the first girl to ever score a touchdown for the high school's football team, the Brockton Boxers. Brockton High School's football program is 125 years old.

Quinn, who wears the number 89 on her jersey, made the historic touchdown in the third quarter of the game. Her teammates cheered her on and slapped her helmet as soon as she crossed into the end zone.

The Boxers beat the Indians 50 to 7.
