BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Stanley Cup fever is building in Boston. The Bruins are prepping for Monday night’s opener against the St. Louis Blues at TD Garden.

The Bruins have been off since May 16 after sweeping the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Finals.

“I think our team is, I feel anyways, has been prepared most nights all year. I think they’ve been prepared in the playoffs. There’s always exceptions. I believe they’ll be ready to go Monday night,” Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy said. “I think you’re always concerned that you’re missing something along the way. You don’t want to get caught. But, I think you also have to keep a lot of that in-house. You don’t want to give too much information to the players where they’re over thinking. So, some of that is for us, for our knowledge in case it comes up — all of a sudden there’s a face-off play and we want to make sure we’re on top of it.”

Monday night’s game will start at 8 p.m.
