BU Steps Up COVID-19 Safety Protocols For Faculty And Staff

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Boston University is stepping up enforcement of coronavirus safety protocols on campus by taking corrective action with faculty and staff not in compliance with testing and daily health screenings.

Staff and faculty have been broken up into four categories with those in the first three needing to undergo health screen every weekday, whether they’re coming on campus or not. They’ll also be tested once a week.

Those in category four must also undergo a screening but are to remain off campus at all times.

Those not in compliance get a warning the first time, then they’re told not to return to work the second time. But the third time, they face suspension or termination.

This comes a week after BU implemented “compliance badges” for students showing they’ve been tested and don’t have symptoms.
