BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — It appears the coronavirus pandemic has upended more than just everyday life, as abandoned boats are now showing up in Burlington.
The white and tan boat, identified by police as a Galaxy Bowrider, was illegally dumped near power lines in Burlington, police said.
"Hey Captain Ahab! Abandon ship doesn't mean illegally dump your boat by the power lines!" the police department wrote on Twitter.
Burlington police put out a request for anyone with information to call the department, joking that if you see an empty boat trailer — it's probably a good clue.
"If anyone noticed the now empty trailer parked where their neighbors Galaxy Bowrider used to be please give us a call at 781-272-1212 so that we can discuss their poor navigational choices."
