BURLINGTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A coach bus burst into flames Wednesday afternoon on the ramp to Route 3 from 128 Northbound.
No injuries were reported, but the situation caused serious traffic delays.
Crews from both Lexington and Burlington Fire Departments responded and extinguished the fire on the bus, and MassPort sent a foam truck to fight the blaze.
The passengers on the bus were waiting on the median when WBZ NewsRadio's Karyn Regal arrived, and were picked up by another Local Motion bus.
The cause of the fire was not yet known. The fire appeared to have started in the rear of the bus.
