CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Cambridge Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man they say assaulted a woman near Harvard and Prospect Streets Tuesday morning.

The assault happened around 9:40 a.m. Police said the man pictured above was seen yelling at and striking the victim, a woman who was pushing her child in a stroller, with a phone.

"The suspect then reportedly grabbed and unsuccessfully attempted to pull her stroller, which was carrying the woman's 1-year-old child," Cambridge Police said.

He then fled toward Inman Street and Central Square.

The woman and child refused medical attention.

Police described the suspect as a white man in his late 20s wearing a green shirt, khaki shorts, a brown backpack, and a multi-colored hat. They said he was barefoot at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to call Cambridge Police at 617-349-3300.
