Cambridge Police Investigate Fatal Overnight Shooting

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A 19-year-old Cambridge man is dead after a fatal overnight shooting on Saturday.

According to the Middlesex District Attorney's office and Cambridge Police, a passerby called 911 and officers located the victim on Pemberton Street at around 12:40 a.m.

The man was reportedly unconscious outside his car near the Rindge Baseball Field and basketball courts, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was treated on scene and take to a local hospital where later died.

Investigators are now looking to identify a suspect -- and they are asking anyone with information about the incident to reach out to Cambridge Police at (617)-349-3300.
