CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – Cambridge Police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection to a bank robbery that happened early Wednesday afternoon.
The department tweeted around 1:19 p.m. that officers had responded to a Brattle Square bank for a reported bank robbery. They said the alleged suspect passed a note to the clerk and that no weapons were seen during the exchange. It is unclear how much, if any, money the suspect made off with.

Officers were actively searching the area and are now asking the public for help. The suspect is described as a Black male, around 5’10” and was wearing black pants and a black jacket at the time of the incident.

The robbery is currently under investigation by Cambridge Police, the regional Bank Robbery Task Force and Massachusetts State Police. Cambridge Police said people can contact them by calling 617-349-3300 or by texting tips to 847411. People should start their text with TIP650, followed by their message.
