CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — All Cambridge Public School students will return for the fall semester under a fully-remote learning model, with the option to attend in-person classes for eligible families.
According to the Cambridge Public School District's timeline, September 1 through September 15 will be set aside for teachers and staff to plan and train for the first full semester amid the pandemic.
CPSD said family conferences will also be held throughout those first two weeks of September.
"Once the School Committee votes to approve a final model, families will receive Fall 2020 Enrollment Forms and make choose in-person or at-home for each of their children, in accordance with the model," said CPSD. "When making their choices, families will make an initial commitment through December 2020."
From September 16 through September 18, CPS students will have half-day remote classes. Starting September 22, Cambridge public schools will introduce a mixture of full-day and half-day remote classes.
On October 13th, classes will begin for eligible families who have chosen to enroll their child in in-person learning, while all other CPS students will continue to learn remotely.
