BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — As public events are cancelled because of coronavirus, many musicians, organizations, and outlets are getting creative and opting to livestream performances as people practice social distancing.
Here's a list of some events and places you can experience while staying inside:
- Dropkick Murphys live streaming their annual St. Patrick's Day performance.
- While closed to the public, New England Aquarium will offer 'virtual programming to keep families engaged.'
- Metropolitan Opera in NYC has closed its doors for the month, but will stream previously recorded shows every night this week.
- Google Arts & Culture allows for remote tours of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum...
- ...as well as the Museum of Fine Arts. They are also posting lectures on art via social media.
- The Boston Children's Museum hosts a virtual tour on its website.
