WORCESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio)— New England is known for its great farmers markets, but this one coming Worcester might look a little different.
Resinate, a dispensary in Worcester, is hosting their first cannabis farmers market at their Worcester shop on Saturday, Oct. 16. The event will feature more than 20 vendors from around New England selling products and mech as well as giving out information about their products and cannabis in general.
Peter DeCaro, the CEO of Resinate, told WBZ's Jim MacKay (@JimMackayOnAir) his goal for the farmers market is to show off the cannabis community to the local public.
"To us this is a community, it's true collaboration," DeCaro said. "Others may view it a little bit differently but this is how we view it."

The event is open to any patrons over the age of 21, including those who may be new to cannabis. DeCaro said Cannabis newcomers are encouraged to attend and talk with the different vendors to learn more about the different products and effects. He said he hopes to make this farmers market a recurring event.
"Our goal is to host something like this on a monthly basis," DeCaro said. "We hope to do it again in November."
The farmers market will take place outside of Resinate's Worcester location from noon to 6 p.m. on Oct. 16.
