Canobie Lake Park Won't Open Until Mid-July

SALEM, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Canobie Lake Park will not be opening until July 16 because of the coronavirus pandemic. They were originally supposed to open in early May.

Anyone looking to go to the park this summer will need to complete a health screening, and will need to put in a reservation because the park is cutting capacity to about 25 percent.

"We are going to be separating out our rides. Every row won't be filled," brand manager Chris Nicoli said. "Every other seat or every other game bay for games won't be filled."

Rides will also be cleaned regularly, and groups of park employees will be encouraging social distancing.

"This isn't us creating these restrictions, this is the only way that we can open," Nicoli said.
