DANVERS, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A car carrier struck two overpasses on Route 128 Tuesday morning, damaging the cars onboard.
Massachusetts State Police said the carrier struck the Endicott Street and Route 114 overpasses while traveling southbound before 10 a.m.
The collision left a 2020 Chevrolet Trax that was atop the carrier completely destroyed.
The right lane of Route 128 Southbound was closed in Peabody, just south of the Danvers line, as crews cleaned up the damage.
MassDOT was also on scene to inspect the overpasses for damage.
