BILLERICA, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — An SUV slammed into the side of a hair salon on Boston Road early Monday morning.
According to police, the 20-year-old driver was attempting to pass another vehicle around midnight when she lost control of the car and swerved into the oncoming lane.
The car, a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, struck the side of Superior Styles and a telephone pole. The driver and two passengers were uninjured in the crash.
The building and pole did not appear to suffer significant damage and there were no power outages as a result of the accident.
No charges are being filed against the unidentified driver, whom police believe may have slid on a patch of ice.
